I have added several references to working with words and working on crosswords. The soup is alphabet soup, the tablecloth is a checkered pattern, with some noodle letters arranged, a snapped pencil and aspirin for the tougher challenges...a visual whimsical look at the frustrations of puzzle solving.

Merana, I am echoing the EXQUISITE MASTERY of detail to be found in your portfolio!…I, too, love the challenges of detail…Colour palette, light, form, composition…ALL of the elements; however, YOU you take your work beyond challenge….it is a matter of leaving NO detail unmastered…the aspirin?, the broken pencil?, the scribbled crossword on the tablecloth? ALL idiosyncrasies are IN THERE…PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DETAILS!!…It’s like watching watching Alfred Hitchcock …paint! The mystery is both laid out, complete with its hidden convolutions …then solved…or is there more?? Yes, Genius!
