Food to nourish the body and mind!
I have added several references to working with words and working on crosswords. The soup is alphabet soup, the tablecloth is a checkered pattern, with some noodle letters arranged, a snapped pencil and aspirin for the tougher challenges...a visual whimsical look at the frustrations of puzzle solving.

About Merana Cadorette
I am just an old grandmother soul that has been creating since I first got a chubby baby fist on a crayon. For decades, I have worked in a variety of media, in many sizes, and in several themes. Some may reoccur and occasionally mingle with others. My artwork sprawls from impressionist over to, but never reaching, absolute realism. It reflects my life, mental state and interests. I adore dramatic color and very often lean towards a blue/orange dynamic. Skies are rarely calm, buildings should look old and lived in, and people should make you wish you could meet them. Merana, I am echoing the EXQUISITE MASTERY of detail to be found in your portfolio!…I, too, love the challenges of detail…Colour palette, light, form, composition…ALL of the elements; however, YOU you take your work beyond challenge….it is a matter of leaving NO detail unmastered…the aspirin?, the broken pencil?, the scribbled crossword on the tablecloth? ALL idiosyncrasies are IN THERE…PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DETAILS!!…It’s like watching watching Alfred Hitchcock …paint! The mystery is both laid out, complete with its hidden convolutions …then solved…or is there more?? Yes, Genius!
