One of my early paintings, which I just still enjoy. Done in the old master's technic (mostly!) of layering color over an underpainting. The apples still glow and have some nice reflections.

Really beautiful, Merana…was the underpainting also oil? And was it translucent oils over more opaque solid pigment? You piqued my interest in The BUZzz…I am still wondering where the underwater element comes in. Yes, love the luminescence achieved with the thin glazes, suspended in linseed oil I suspect? It’s been quite awhile for me with oils, always had problems with reactivity to the mediums and pigments.
