I'm trying to put into a painting feeling of deep depression, to help people understand the complete soul-sinking experience. My aim is to create a visual that can be used as a tool by people suffering to help explain it when they don't have words or energy to do so...
Depression is a slow, steady sinking down. It's a thick pressure which muffles you off from the rest of humanity, Events seem outside your control. You are pulled in a tangled snare further from light and warmth into the cold depths.
