Description
One of the gates featured in my book "Gates of Savannah" (History Press). This is the only gate that is also directly part of the entry door area.
I walked by this one several times before the lighting was right for me. The early morning
sun just tops the home on the opposite side of the street to dapple the brickwork and
highlight the wrought iron. The trick to painting this was accenting the black gate to make it
stand out from the black door behind it. Made by John Smith.
