Brand new grandson is nestled in Pepere's arms for the first of many bedtime stories. Mommy made sure the little one had appropriate Winnie the Pooh pajamas. A love of reading starts very early in our family.
About Merana Cadorette
I am just an old grandmother soul that has been creating since I first got a chubby baby fist on a crayon. For decades, I have worked in a variety of media, in many sizes, and in several themes. Some may reoccur and occasionally mingle with others. My artwork sprawls from impressionist over to, but never reaching, absolute realism. It reflects my life, mental state and interests. I adore dramatic color and very often lean towards a blue/orange dynamic. Skies are rarely calm, buildings should look old and lived in, and people should make you wish you could meet them. Merana, mon Pépère was a huge part of my youth, taking me to the garden and showing me the beauty of flowers, freshness of vegetables, …tapping the érables for Sap as is in my Canadian heritage, trudging into the woods, with me jumping in his steps to find untouched, fresh snow to pack in the enamel wash pan for mémère’s “la tire” boil in winter! Memories…yes, LOVE moments within FAMILY are THE BEST!
