Description
This palette knife painting is of the first house we built. I did all the stonework and both roof and siding shingles.
Even though this was the north facing side of the house, the warmth lingered in the masonry, and our roses would still bloom even past Thanksgiving most years.
My husband, a master woodworker, made the door, and we commissioned a stained-glass window for it...a big extravagance for our budget back then with two small children!
Long before the movies made all things hobbit popular, we designed and loved our Tolkien inspired door.
