The wheel in the top panel appears a few other places about Savannah, not only in gates, but as a protection to a few round ground floor windows. Although this painting the gate appears tall, and the columns fairly substantial, it is strictly the angle I worked from.
In reality, it is a friendly human-scaled entrance into a well proportioned sun-kissed retreat.
This appears in both my "Gates of Savannah" and "Scenes of Savannah" books.
I am just an old grandmother soul that has been creating since I first got a chubby baby fist on a crayon. For decades, I have worked in a variety of media, in many sizes, and in several themes.
