Description
As WWII closed out, many WASPs and other female pilots helped work with volunteers to start a Girl Scout aviation program.
In 1945, William Piper, of Piper Aviation, offered three aircraft to GSUSA...the first time a major aviation company offered planes to a youth organization.
This faux stained glass diptych painted on clear acrylic showcases one of the donated Piper Cubs in it's special paint job and a young Wing Scout.
