Artist's Description

Brownie Girl Scout Mary Lou Close buys the first Juliette Low stamp in 1948. Savannah, Ga is the hometown of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts. and where she began the organization.

The watercolor's lighting is reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell.
This is a photo of the watercolor as matted with a copy of the reference photo and a first day cover from the event.
