Artist's Description

The first Methodist church was established in Savannah, Georgia in 1807.
By 1875, groundwork began for this building, modeled in the Gothic style after Queen's Kirk in Amsterdam. Work proceeded slowly due to lack of funds during Reconstruction, and a Yellow Fever outbreak.
The Southern conference dedicated it as a memorial to John Wesley, thus it's name "The Wesley Monumental Church". Donations came from all over the world towards it's completion.

I am just an old grandmother soul that has been creating since I first got a chubby baby fist on a crayon. For decades, I have worked in a variety of media, in many sizes, and in several themes. Some may reoccur and occasionally mingle with others. My artwork sprawls from impressionist over to, but never reaching, absolute realism. It reflects my life, mental state and interests. I adore dramatic color and very often lean towards a blue/orange dynamic. Skies are rarely calm, buildings should look old and lived in, and people should make you wish you could meet them. I don't exactly have a 'chosen art form'. I began with hand-built figures, added watercolors, then acrylics. Along the way, I have tried marble, bronze-casting... I...
