Merana, I love your use of the paper with petals, and growing your image out of the garden. Beautifully done! LF

Merana, What a lovely use of vintage dried flower paper. I remember writing letters with them and enclosing the letter within a lovely embossed card with scalloped edging. One “might” be able to find that quality of beauty on Etsy …maybe…next to the elaborate metallic die-cut tea doilies of which I still still have a meager supply! This reminds me to fondly embrace memories.

what a fabulous use for paper with real flower petals in it, Merana! I would love it if you would stop by the Techniques thread in The BUZzz, also, and perhaps share more detail about the process to work on this type of paper with watercolor! F

This painting illustrates so well how watermedia can allow the substrate to play an important part in the completed work. Thank you for sharing this in The ARTIST BUZzz! l/f
