Product Details

Purchase a tote bag featuring the painting "Birthplace, side entrance" by Merana Cadorette.   Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder.   All seams are double-stitched for added durability.   Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

One of the gates featured in my book "Gates of Savannah" (History Press).
Gate fronts on Bull
Wayne-Gordon House (Juliette Gordon Low’s birthplace)
While there are more famous gates created by Juliette Low herself, this anonymously made
one has a simple elegance. It is very tall and narrow, giving the passerby a glimpse into the
elegant back garden and sculptures inside. Currently, troops signed-up for tours or
programs enter here, making it a Girl Scout’s first glimpse into where their Founder played
as a child. Lover of animals that she was, I think she would particularly like the horse-head
hitching post patiently enjoying the attention of the eager girls awaiting admission.

I am just an old grandmother soul that has been creating since I first got a chubby baby fist on a crayon. For decades, I have worked in a variety of media, in many sizes, and in several themes. Some may reoccur and occasionally mingle with others. My artwork sprawls from impressionist over to, but never reaching, absolute realism. It reflects my life, mental state and interests. I adore dramatic color and very often lean towards a blue/orange dynamic. Skies are rarely calm, buildings should look old and lived in, and people should make you wish you could meet them. I don't exactly have a 'chosen art form'. I began with hand-built figures, added watercolors, then acrylics. Along the way, I have tried marble, bronze-casting... I...
