I became very bored with too many times being asked in classes to make a color wheel. I decided to compose one out of art supplies. I laid out a circle, and then divided the circumference into sixths. every other sixth became the head of an 'arrow' which met it's point on the opposite side. Each one begins with a primary color, but as it overlaps other sections, the sections contain items of a secondary color. The remaining sections were filled with items in secondary colors reflecting the two adjacent areas. The center is an artist's lamp representing pure light, and the presence of all colors.
The watercolor is the round center, those are real paintbrushes on the matt.
I am just an old grandmother soul that has been creating since I first got a chubby baby fist on a crayon. For decades, I have worked in a variety of media, in many sizes, and in several themes. Some may reoccur and occasionally mingle with others. My artwork sprawls from impressionist over to, but never reaching, absolute realism. It reflects my life, mental state and interests. I adore dramatic color and very often lean towards a blue/orange dynamic. Skies are rarely calm, buildings should look old and lived in, and people should make you wish you could meet them.
